Independent editing showcase

Why this moment

Starts on a problem anyone with a camera roll knows. Stops before the pitch. Makes sense on its own, in 35 seconds.

Watch the samples

Automatically selected clips still need context, edit points and captions checked. We review each one to make sure it presents a complete thought and makes sense without the rest of the episode.

The clips

Three clips from a 37-minute interview.

Each sample includes its source timestamps, why we chose the moment and what we changed.

Can you find that one moment?

02:23.28–02:58.2436:57 episode
Why this moment
A familiar phone-photo problem grows into a business problem. The example supplies its own context and lands on a clear need: finding useful footage quickly.
What we changed
Reframed the guest for a vertical screen, added a clear opening title and two-line captions, and ended before the product pitch.

Fast technology still needs brakes.

16:19.76–16:54.7236:57 episode
Why this moment
A microphone and a car turn an abstract AI-safety discussion into concrete examples. The passage ends with the speaker’s conclusion about safeguards.
What we changed
Kept the complete safety analogy and conclusion. Used orange caption blocks for a second subtitle treatment, with no added music or stock footage.

What happens to the people?

29:36.40–30:59.6436:57 episode
Why this moment
The host challenges the optimistic account of automation. The answer offers a practical email example but also acknowledges redundancy and the need to invest in people.
What we changed
Retained the host’s challenge and the guest’s caveat about job losses. The framing follows the speaker change and the ending keeps the point about reskilling.

Before we start

Before you send an episode

We already have an editor. Why add you?

If your current team is fully booked, we can take on additional clipping work and follow your existing style guidelines.

Will our clients see your name?

No. There’s no Arcana watermark or credit on the final files. If you need an NDA, tell us before you send anything.

Which parts use AI, and what do you review?

Software analyses the transcript and footage to shortlist moments. We make the final selections, set the edit points, check the captions and watch every finished clip. If your client has requirements around AI tools, we confirm those before starting.

What if we don’t like the clips?

You get one round of changes to the hook, trim or caption style. If it’s still not a fit, you can stop there. The first-order fee is due only after you approve; clean final files are released after payment.

What does it cost after the first episode?

We quote regular batches after the first one, once we know your style and volume. The review-before-payment offer applies to your first order.

What do you need from us?

A link to an episode you’re allowed to have edited, a style reference and a delivery email. Add timestamps or anything to avoid if you have them.
